Unclog Toilet

Unclog Toilet

1. Start by locating the toilet clog. Once you’ve found the clog, check to see how deep the clog is and whether it is a solid blockage.

2. Use a plunger and work the plunger up and down to loosen the blockage and try to dislodge it. Continue for several minutes.

3. If the plunger does not do the job, you can try a toilet auger, a long plastic or metal rod with a crank at one end that you can use to push the blockage through the pipe.

4. If the auger is unable to dislodge the blockage, you may need to use a plumbing snake or plumbing auger. These are longer, heavier-duty tools that may be able to push through or break up the clog.

5. You may also be able to use a chemical drain-clearing product, but be sure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions and cautionary warnings carefully.
